This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website or work with us, why, and how you can control it.
Information we collect
When you submit our contact form or book a call, we collect your name, email address, business name, and whatever details you share about your project. If you become a client, we also collect billing information through Stripe (Stripe handles and stores your card details directly, we never see or store your full card number). We also collect standard analytics data (pages visited, general location, device type) to understand how the site is used.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
We collect contact and project details because we need them to respond to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the work, that’s processing necessary for a contract or to take steps toward one. We collect analytics data based on your consent, given through the cookie banner on this site. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data to anyone. We share it only with the tools that help us run the business: Stripe for billing, [ANALYTICS TOOL, e.g. Google Analytics] for site analytics, and [BOOKING TOOL, e.g. Calendly] if you book a call. Each of these processes your data under its own privacy policy and only for the purpose we use it for.
Some of these tools are based outside the EU (Stripe and [ANALYTICS TOOL] are US companies). Where that’s the case, they process data under an approved transfer mechanism, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies & analytics
This site uses analytics cookies to measure traffic and performance. Non-essential cookies only load after you consent through the cookie banner; you can withdraw or change that consent at any time from the same banner or your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep client data for as long as needed to deliver and support your project, and for a further period after that where we’re required to for tax and accounting purposes. We delete inquiry data that doesn’t turn into a project after 12 months. Analytics data is kept for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 14 months] before it’s automatically deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or receive a copy of it in a portable format. You can also object to how we use it, and where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@websavory.com for any of this.
If you think we’ve mishandled your data, you can complain directly to us first, or to Romania’s data protection authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro), at any time.
